San Francisco Conservatory of Music – Digital Archives Project

San Francisco Conservatory of Music Archivist, Tessa Updike, has been busy compiling a digital resource of historical recordings  from the SFCM’s illustrious past (2017 will be their centennial year!). Their hope is to preserve and make accessible masterclasses, performances, events and lectures by SFCM faculty and guests, dating back to 1967.  The first recording to go “live” is this Commencement address from 1985 by Robert Commanday, longtime music critic at the San Francisco Chronicle. Have a listen – click on the Soundcloud “play” button on the Audio Digitization Project page here: http://www.sfcm.edu/web/sfcm/archives/sound-archives.
